Just started watching this set of videos on Youtube, uploaded by user SlashColumbiaRevenge, which features what is apparently considered as the top 10 ranking of characters for KOF97 in China.
Not having played KOF97 properly for a long time now i'm not really in a position to comment on the rankings, but you can see some really nice set ups, combos and tactics in these videos. (All taken from real matches.)

ReplyDeleteBoy, that was so broken. It's really fun watching the Chinese getting the actual 100% of the game.
It's funny since I always get the impression that they are even better in 97' than what they already are in 98' (and in 98' -of course- they are already crazily good).
Personally i found it kinda interesting to find how much the game has evolved since i last played it.
ReplyDeleteI remember that when i used to play it that Terry and Yamazaki were considered top tier (because of the infinites).
Was a little suprised to see Terry low down in the top 10.
Btw on a side note, i saw your comment about Dune a while ago about him not liking planes.
Honestly i thought of the EXACT same thing about that scene from Nodame Cantabile xD (except i thought of the drama version)
