Arcade Works - Omega Entertainment Machine - CMVS
Saw this thread over on Neo-Geo.com's forums about a consolized MVS system which appeared at the E3 show.
There are not many details on the official website regarding the machine as of yet but it does look very slick judging from the photos, and much more like the AES unit than the Walnut CMVS did.
Price and release dates should be revealed hopefully some time soon.
Edit: Just noticed the creator, Shadowkn55, has posted up some more details:
I'll give you guys a little rundown on the cmvs while the website admin sets up the preorder page.
It'll have two tiered pricing. The complete units will be $499 and a DIY kit at $299. The complete units will be fully playable out of the box and are equipped with the latest unibios. The DIY kits require an MV-1C but feature a solderless design. A little bit of soldering is required if you want stereo.
All units come with composite, s-video, component, and rgb as standard. They'll come bundled with composite/s-video cables. Component and RGB scart cables are sold separately.
The a/v out is done through a single DIN9. I wanted to have the back panel as clean as possible and at the same time make the DIY kits easy to assemble.
Gamespot & Siliconera Hands On With KOFXIII
Saw this over on Dreamcancel's front page.
Gamespot and Siliconera have both posted up hands-on previews on KOFXIII and so far their impressions of the game seem fairly positive.
Though because the version shown at E3 was an early build of the game many of the console specific options were omitted (leaving only an arcade mode to show).
No doubt SNKP want to keep things underwraps until they are ready themselves to reveal the full game details.
It's noted on the Gamespot article that it will apparently have an improved netcode from the one present in KOFXII, and that Atlus are pressing for the game to be a solid product.
It would be a real shame if SNKP don't get this one right, although i do have my own qualms with this game (and overall prefer 02UM), as i enjoyed playing it at Ultimate Clash Xtreme.
KOFXIII - Ash Crimson Combo Video
Was looking for a video i saw quite a while ago with Takuma doing a 100% combo with minimal super bars but in typical Youtube searching fashion i ended up finding something else instead of the video i originally wanted to find...
Not a bad thing though necessarily as i came across OutPhase1984's Youtube channel which has quite a few KOFXIII and various other KOF combo videos.
The one i probably enjoyed watching most was this one of Ash Crimson that he uploaded, as it showcases about 6 minutes worth of combos showing how many bar requirements each one needs.
Although i've seen really long Ash Crimson combos in XIII match videos before i've never really sat down and watched them properly so it was interesting to study this vid.
May well have to learn Ash when XIII comes out as it would be quite funny to catch someone with these stupidly long combos.
Check out OutPhase1984's Youtube channel for more KOFXIII combo vids.

Magical Drop V [PC] - Coming Soon
Although not a SNK game i've always thought of Magical Drop as being a Neo Geo game (since i was more familiar with the Neo Geo versions) so thought it might be of interest to fellow Neo Geo fans to know that Ignition will be publishing Magical Drop V for the PC. (With console versions to come at a later date.)
What is interesting though is that this game has been designed with GhostLop characters, though i'm not sure whether it has it's own specific Ghostlop mode or you can only pick those characters and play a psuedo Ghostlop (vs Magical Drop) game.
GhostLop as you may or may not know was originally planned for the Neo Geo system but never made it past being a prototype.
From what i've seen of the gameplay of GhostLop it looks like a mixture of Breakout and Puzzle Bobble.
(Check out the video below, uploaded by merlin196, for gameplay from the prototype version)
There's no release date as of yet but Siliconera is reporting the game should cost less than $10!
Check out more details also on Joystiq.
Blog Updates (9/6/11)
Maybe you would have noticed this already if you browse this blog on a mobile phone browser, but i have activated a mobile version of the site for easier reading.
Although the tabs below the banner become a bit messy i think the rest of the blog is alot clearer than the full version on a mobile phone. You can see below some example images of how it looks on my iPod Touch.
I've also updated the 'Neo Geo Station Walkthroughs' section of the blog with the latest videos to be uploaded by SNKPlaymore's Youtube channel.

TROUBLE WITCHES☆NEO! - Super Play - Pril Patowle - Stage 2,3,4
Didn't notice until this morning but the SNKPlaymore on XBLA has already updated up to the fourth stage of the super play videos for Trouble Witches. Like the first stage it doesn't seem like they've uploaded them to Youtube, which is a shame as the videos are pretty enjoyable to watch, but you can check them out for now on the facebook page.
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Also in case you missed the first stage you can check that out here.

Enlightend Shadow's KOFXIII Fan Sprite Edits
Found some more fan made KOFXIII style sprites today on Enlightend Shadow's DeviantArt page, they're pretty well made and in particular i quite liked the alternate costume design he made of Kula.
Jae Hoon:
Kula Diamond:
Kyo Kusanagi
Nameless:
Also in case you were interested in making some yourself, he also has a tutorial on his page showing you how he makes them.
There are actually a few more if you check out his gallery. (Some KOF, some Capcom, and some personal designs.)
Also whilst on the topic of Deviant Art i also came across a cosplayer called Mistress09, who has done an awesome Kula cosplay.
Check out her DeviantArt page for more. :)
